Simplify Your Skincare Routine with Multi-Use Products

Let’s make this easy for you. One of the Big differences between SCOUT Skincare products and others is in the order and the way you apply them.

Our beauty range were created to take away the stress of using multiple products for everyone in the family as they are suitable for every type of skin. The magic lies in how you use them.

So let me take you through the steps of correct application. I’ll also answer the perennial question about why we don’t have a toner or a topical exfoliator in our routine.

Let’s start with:

It's always the first step. Having a clean skin is so important. No matter what take your makeup off before going to bed.

After cleansing use a warm and wet cloth to remove product. This is especially so if you are wearing makeup. In which case I recommend a double cleanse. Both of our cleansers take off makeup and are gentle yet effective enough to use every-day and when paired with the Skin Therapy Glow System. Combined together they double as an exfoliation process.

For the men, our cleansers are also great to shave with.

The next step should be an application of toner. In days gone by a toner was required to help remove dirt and impurities and also to help remove any residual makeup.

I remember in my teenage years using a toner to remove any excess oil and a toner was also believed to restore the natural pH of the skin.

Both of the SCOUT cleansers will effectively remove all traces of dirt, makeup and wash away the pollution of the day without disrupting the pH balance of the skin.. We don’t want to strip the natural, protective oils which are necessary for skin health.

This is an essential step in your skincare routine as it helps to remove old skin-cells and allows for the active ingredients in your products to penetrate deeper and affect a change.

Exfoliation reveals glowy and fresh skin. SCOUT also does not have a topical exfoliation product in our range. Instead we offer our unique Skin Therapy Glow System. No abrasive walnut shells, jojoba, bamboo, pearl etc… Instead, we use our multi-function smart device STGS which utilises patented Sonic technology with a soft silicone brush head to cleanse, tone and refine the skin. Gentle enough to use every day. However I like to use this twice a week.

The first product you need to apply after cleansing and exfoliating is our power packed serums. They contain all the active ingredients and need to settle into the skin before applying another product. So as I always recommend, give them a minute.

At SCOUT we also recommend layering our serums. However, if you are just starting out with us I always suggest starting slow and work up to layering of the serums. Active products deliver best results.

The Rose quartz stone on the brush head of our Skin Therapy Glow System used in the thermal heating setting with sonic helps to infuse the serums deeper into the skin. It also provides a calming massage to enhance wellbeing and assist with lymphatic drainage.

To nourish, hydrate and protect our skin we moisturise. The SCOUT moisturiser’s deliver all these things and more. They also contain active ingredients to support our serums and keep our skin healthy, glowing and refreshed.

If more nourishment is needed at night we boost our moisturisers with our Six Oils of Rejuvenation. Using them together acts as a night cream.
