Why Mineral Eye Makeup Is the Healthier Choice
While it is said that our eyes are the windows to our soul, they also act as an entry point for much more.
Similar to our skin, our eyes are a gateway for various toxins and harmful ingredients to enter our internal system and bloodstream. On top of that, our eyes are one of the most sensitive and vulnerable parts of our bodies and can become easily irritated by different substances and ingredients.
This is why my focus when creating our SCOUT Mineral Eye Makeup Collection was centred on ensuring that we used as little potentially harmful, toxic, or irritating ingredients as possible, making it a safer and healthier alternative for even those with the most sensitive eyes to use, including glasses and contact lens wearers.
In comparison to conventional mainstream makeup, our mineral eye makeup range uses as much natural ingredients as possible and is free from toxic substances that can typically be found in other eye makeup products such as parabens, fillers, aluminium, mineral oils, talc, synthetic dyes, or preservatives.

Mineral Loose Eyeshadow
Our Pure Colour Mineral Eyeshadows are not only perfect for recreating a number of day and night time looks, such as current catwalk trends or a classic everyday look, they also contain a number of ingredients that offer many skin and eye health benefits.
All of our mineral eyeshadows contain natural ingredients sourced from Australia like mica, zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide. All three of these ingredients contain anti-inflammatory properties, and are well known for being well tolerated by those with sensitive skin and eyes, as they are highly soothing and calming.
Mica is a mineral pigment used to help create the beautiful shimmer found in our eyeshadows, while Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide offer protection from sun damage and help to prevent the effects of ageing.
Mineral Eyeliner Pencil
Iron oxide is a great ingredient that can be found throughout our Eye Liner Chubbi Pencils and are used to create our gorgeous colour range, instead of synthetic dyes or colours they are often commonly used in colour cosmetics.
These mineral pigments are considered to be colorants safe for cosmetic use, as they are non-toxic and non-allergenic, gentle on the skin so they won’t cause any sensitivity.
Along with their soft and creamy texture, our Chubbi Pencils glide on effortlessly onto the skin to define your eyes, without dragging on your eyelids and causing any redness or irritation.
Mineral Mascara
If you wear contact lenses or glasses and find it hard to use mascara which can be aggravating to your eyes, our SCOUT Mascara with its non-irritating blend of ingredients could be your answer.
What we leave out is just as important as what we include.
Our Mascara is not only enriched with the nourishing benefits of Organic Jojoba Seed Oil and Grapefruit Extract, it does not contain Bismuth Oxychloride, which is often used in mascara, lipsticks, and powder cosmetics to give a pearly or luminescent shine.
Our Mascara is perfect for sensitive eyes and is safe for everyday use to give your lashes a full and voluminous appearance, without the use of harsh chemicals.
