Prefer to match yourself?
The quiz above is the two-minute way — four questions and I'll match you to the right formula and shade. If you'd like to do it by eye instead, here's exactly how I do it.
Step 1 — Warm, cool or neutral?
Many makeup artists use the 'vein test', and you can too. Look at the underside of your wrist in natural light. Blueish veins with a rosy hue means you're cool-toned. Yellow-ish veins with golden warmth means you're warm-toned. A mix, with veins that look slightly green, means you're neutral — and you can wear most shades.
Step 2 — Choose your formula
We make three foundations, each suited to a different skin type. It really comes down to the finish you love:
- Healthy Glow Fluid Foundation — light-to-medium, dewy coverage for a lit-from-within glow. Made for normal and combination skin.
- Mineral Powder Foundation — concealer, foundation and finishing powder in one, with buildable medium-to-full coverage and a soft matte finish. Made for oily and combination skin, and perfect for touch-ups on the go.
- Crème Compact Foundation — a nourishing cream with Vitamin E, jojoba and shea that softens the look of fine lines as it wears. Made for dry and mature skin.
Not sure? If your skin leans oily or shiny, start with the Mineral Powder. If it leans dry, start with the Crème. Anyone in between will be happy in the Fluid.
Step 3 — Choose your shade
We have four shades. The notes below each will help you narrow it down:

Light — for fair skin

Medium — most popular

Medium-dark

Deep — our deepest
Camel is by far our most popular shade and a good place to start. If you're truly unsure, go a touch lighter — you can always warm a foundation with a little bronzer, but it's very hard to lighten one that's too dark. Skin tone matters most, and you know yours best.
Matching in-store
If you can get to a stockist, take a friend. Apply two shades side by side along your jawline — not your hand — then step into natural light with a mirror. The shade that seems to disappear into your skin is your match. Still torn between two? Mix them in your hand and wear them together.
My Shade Match Promise
Try your foundation, and if the shade isn't right, return it within 30 days for a refund or store credit — even if it's been opened and worn. Getting your match right matters more to me than the sale.
